They buried another child yesterday. 19 years old and the military cemetery behind my house,
amidst the finely manicured gardens, surround on all sides by the giant pines, accepted another
parent's child into the damp, dark earth. At the same time life went on. The world did not stop. The Europeans and the Americans continued to pour oil onto the fire, in order to pave their way for their imminent invasion of Iraq. The pressure cooker is ready to blow. After the war, it will be quiet again here for another 20 years and the ritual hatred fueled by blindness and old generals and terrorists dictating to the masses will be reinforced by another historic milestone "never to forget". We live between the cardboard cliche press reports of what is not really taking place in Israel nor Palestine. If I was a Palestinian I might be driven to do what the desperate are doing for Iraqi and Saudi "death payments of $10,000. - but I am Israeli and will not cut my throat for the opportunities missed by terrorist-driven enterprises like the PLO who only have one mandate: DEATH TO JEWS. Their people suffer ignobly while the Palestinian "aristocracy" live incommunicado in their villas, dressed in the Armani suits, checking their foreign bank accounts while spouting the official lines which would never dare go against that of Chairman Arafat. And their children continue to die. And our politicians continue to lie...and the cycle continues...but the endgame is close. CNN won't tell you that, nor the BBC. To bad the world wants to ignore history and would relish the though of comparing Israelis and Jews to Nazis - When I say the world, I mean governments, not citizens. Citizens have no real voice anywhere. Governments are entities driven by ego-maniacs who manage to run for office to further their own ends. That's enough bullshit for today. Before 1967 Jews were Jews. After 1967 they became Zionists. No political plans will solve the fratricides here. Only, unfortunately, massive casualities. The world learned nothing from WWII. The genocides continue.
